This session serves as a broad overview of video screen capture tools you can use to record your lectures for online, flipped, or just technology-enhanced delivery to give you more active learning time with your face-to-face students. We will discuss best practices with these tools in general, and then take a look at a few of the specific tools, ranging from VT-supported free tools to more involved interactive recording/editing tools.

Upon completion of this session, participants should be able to...
Define screencasting.
Determine which tool best fits their current development needs.
Decide which materials are to be used in the process of making the screencast.
Identify strategies that will help with the production and post production of the recording.
Identify affordances of various recording options.
