Description:

Looking for a better way to manage handwritten assignments, bubble sheets, or free-response grading in Canvas? Gradescope is a powerful tool that integrates directly with Canvas to simplify and speed up grading—while improving feedback for students.

In this session, you’ll learn how to enable and use Gradescope in your Canvas course, create different types of assignments, and grade efficiently using features like dynamic rubrics, AI-assisted grouping, and inline annotations. Whether you're grading paper-based exams, digital homework, or code, Gradescope helps you reduce grading time, increase consistency (and with multiple graders!) and return clearer feedback to your students.

We’ll also explore syncing rosters and grades with Canvas, discuss common use cases at Virginia Tech, and point you to the best resources for getting started.
