Description:
Generative AI is pushing all of us to rethink how we measure student learning. It’s a big shift, and honestly, it can feel a bit overwhelming to navigate alone. This hands-on workshop is designed as a space for us to take a breath, step back, and figure out how to evolve our assessment strategies together. The goal is for you to leave not just with a finished assignment, but with a community of colleagues you can lean on as we all navigate this new landscape.
What To Expect:
This isn’t just a "sit and get" session; it’s a working practicum.

We’ll look at case studies and examples of authentic assessment to spark ideas. We’re going to be transparent about the limitations of AI and the value of human-centered learning.

Bring an existing assignment you’re worried about or a fresh idea for a new project. We’ll provide design guides and templates to help you tweak, overhaul, or build something that feels right for your specific course.

Whether you teach in a physical classroom or lead an online one (synchronous or asynchronous), you’ll find a sub-group of peers who get it. We’ll share what’s actually working in our various spaces and what has flopped.
