Description:

Aaron Geller has worked as a Chemistry Instructor for Virginia Tech since Fall 2017. Over Spring and Summer 2020 he spent several hundred hours experimenting and working with various technologies to make high quality lecture videos. The videos were met with very positive feedback from the students and the online transition did not lead to a significant drop in assessment compared to prior semesters. 

In this talk he will focus (and hopefully engender conversation) on: 
• Key effective points for making videos
• The approach to the process and technology used
• Thoughts for the future and how videos can still be incorporated even in a normal semester
