Description:

The Provost has charged an Online Learning Working Group with exploring potential directions for flexible and online programs and courses at VT.  The creation of high quality online/flexible learning requires a substantial investment of time on the part of the faculty, as well as a robust development “engine” that is oriented toward professional design and production. Further, the development of a carefully designed program of study that incorporates flexible/online learning opportunities requires an investment by both faculty and academic administrators to describe what the flexible/online learning experience will be for learners in their program.

We are asking faculty who are interested in this important topic to provide feedback to help us learn more about current resources and to guide future directions. The university is partnering with MindWires, an external consulting company, to conduct these engagements.
