Gradescope offers fast, flexible options to grade assignments
Gradescope offers fast, flexible options to grade paper-based, digital, and bubble sheet quizzes, exams and homework assignments. The included AI-assisted grading paired with instructor-created rubrics increases the efficiency and consistency of scoring and facilitates more timely feedback. And after assignments are graded, faculty can analyze questions to gain a better understanding of student performance. While Gradescope is especially well suited for STEM classes, it can be used to grade assignments from any discipline.
Interested in trying out Gradescope? Technology-enhanced Learning and Online Strategies (TLOS) is recruiting teaching faculty to participate in a pilot integration of Gradescope with Canvas beginning in spring semester 2023. To volunteer for the pilot contact ___________ at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The workshop will offer guidance on delivery of assignments that are paper-based, fully online, and a combination of the two. In this workshop you will learn how to: -Set up assignments where students can submit freeform work (no printers or templates needed) -Grade your existing exams and homework on Gradescope -Make rubric changes as you grade - changes apply to previously graded work to maintain consistency -Write each comment only once - apply previously used comments with a click -Use ‘assignment analytics’ to gain insight into student learning Interested in learning more?
