Description:
This session introduces Canvas’s new Students in Need of Attention feature within Course Analytics, which helps instructors identify and support students who may be struggling based on activity and performance data. Participants will explore how to access and interpret this data, customize criteria for identifying at-risk students, and use built-in tools to communicate directly from Canvas. The session also covers how to conduct a post-course review (“course post-mortem”) using analytics to reflect on teaching strategies, course design, and student engagement patterns. Together, these approaches help instructors use analytics both during and after a course to foster student success and continuous course improvement.
