Description:
If the goal of higher education is to create life-long, independent learners, how can we assist our students in developing the necessary skills (metacognitive; self planning, monitoring, and evaluating; motivation) to accomplish this goal? Furthermore, how can we help them realize the vital role they play in their own learning? This workshop will focus on elements of course design and instructional strategies that promote self-regulated learning.
