Description:

Research has shown that experiential learning is valuable for students and contributes to success in their college years. Unfortunately, not all students have the access or financial means to participate in some key experiential learning opportunities which can put them at a disadvantage when entering the job market. This workshop will examine data on our own students at Virginia Tech, what we need to be aware of as faculty and professionals when creating experiential learning opportunities, and how Virginia Tech is incorporating initiatives to provide key experiential learning opportunities for ALL students.
