Description:

This book circle is part of the larger Book Circles initiative by InclusiveVT and the 2 meeting dates are scheduled to take place prior to March 19th when the authors (Thomas Norman DeWolf and Jodie Geddes) will be coming to campus during events for Principles of Community Week (find out more about the Principles of Community and Events March 18-22). For questions about this book circle, or to find out about getting a copy of the book please contact: Luke (limen@vt.edu), Ginny (vpannabe@vt.edu), or Sam (samw@vt.edu).

Join us for a 2-meeting book circle (Feb 5 and 26) to discuss The Little Book of Racial Healing. In the first meeting we'll discuss Chapters 1-5 (about 50 pages), and in the second meeting we'll discuss Chapters 6-9 (about 40 pages). The book circle discussions will be facilitated by Sam Winn, Collections Archivist, University Libraries, Virginia Tech, and event set up and technology will be provided by Luke Menzies, and Ginny Pannabecker. Light refreshments (coffee, tea, snacks) will be provided. While everyone is encouraged to read the portions as noted and attend both meetings, if something comes up and you can't finish reading, please join us anyway, and if you can't attend both, please feel free to join us for either one. *We have 30 copies of the book to provide to participants - we will check in on registrations periodically and reach out, but please feel free to contact us to get a copy right away.*
